I rode a bike delivering newspapers. Right when I got home from school on weekdays I went out to deliver newspapers, delivering the Daily Iberian in New Iberia, LA. Sometimes my Mother had the newspapers already folded for delivery and if they weren't, I'd fold them then deliver them rain or shine. Cold or hot. I had 2 different routes at 2 different times.
The first route was small, about 45 customers, took me about 20 minutes for delivery. The second route was much bigger, about 130 customers, took me about an hour. On weekends at first I delivered on Saturday afternoons with no Sunday paper. After a while, the newspaper company decided to drop the Saturday edition and add a Sunday paper, delivering in the AM before 9. Usually I woke up way early, folded the papers, and delivered the newspapers before the sun came up. Sometimes when I threw the papers they ended end over end and "walked" to the door of the customer and sometimes hit the door really hard and I'm sure scaring the daylights of the people in the house.
