Sebagai contoh digunakan pernyataan tokoh Udin.
The roads are not safe now because many people do not drive carefully. They drive too fast. Many pedestrians get accidents because they do not cross the road carefully or because they walk too close to the tra!c.
Dalam pernyataan tersebut, Udin membuat empat pernyataan tentang suatu fakta dengan menyebutkan penyebabnya.

3. Many pedestrians get accidents because they do not cross the road carefully.

Masing-masing dapat dinyatakan secara terbalik, yaitu mengaitkan fakta dengan akibatnya.
